As we noted in the last entry in this blog, we decided to put Nimrod on the market during our cruise from Gladstone to the Whitsundays in May.
So we phoned Brent Vaughan of Multihull Central and followed his advice on price and process. We then got stuck in to a serious working bee to get her up to market standard.
You can see some of the results here. Nimrod For Sale, and here, Guided Tour. George did a fantastic job, and Enriqueta Morato helped greatly with the final detailing.
In the event, the first serious tyre-kicker made an offer of our asking price, unconditionally, so she sold on 14th July. There wasn't a lot to discuss.
As I am sure all boat owners can appreciate, there are complex feelings involved in letting go of a precious boat. Nimrod has been like a child to us, having come together as a couple after the age of child-bearing. She has looked after us well in our various adventures and travels over the last nine years.
