Kangaroo Island

We crossed on the car ferry and found our lovely little shack in Vivonne Bay, on the south coast.

Vivonne Bay at sunset. I am pushing the HDR here, so it is a bit hyper-realistic. This photo involved a tripod, with the camera set to delay 2 seconds and then fire 7 shots at different exposures at half second intervals. The exposures go from -3 stops to +3. (Ie -3, -2, -1, normal, +1, +2, +3). Then the LR Enfuse Lightroom plugin software aligns the seven photos, and blends them, so the dark under-exposed areas are lifted, and the bright over-exposed areas are darkened. Its a technique that doesn't work well in wind, or when people are moving, because the images don't line up properly.

Here is a tutorial on how to do it.
